Sid came home with a pink ribbon pinned to his uniform.

“My class and I are supporting the brave women who have breast cancer,” he announced.

As an afterthought, he added, ” You must wear one too! We all must.”

October being the ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ month, it was heartwarming to know that awareness has reached the Primary wing at Sid’s school.

My mother lost her best friend to breast cancer last year. ย Early this year, she lost another friend to cancer. My friend’s mother is a fighter and has battled her way through months of treatment; she now engages in yoga to keep her body and mind fit in its aftermath.

I salute the women who have emerged fighters from the dreaded disease and continue to function in their roles and make contributions to their family and the society.

Lovely ladies, please take care of yourself. Your family needs YOU more than your services.

Take a minute to look at yourself, take an hour of your busy day for yourself- because you are worth it!

Happy Monday:)

  1. yes, there is absolutely no [place for tear when one encounters cancer, the emperor of diseases. But a bit of awe and uncertainty is understandable. days have changed for all of to believe that there is treatment for cancer. But the crux is, prevention is always better than cure.never neglect a lump, pain discharge from the nipple. report to a doctor pronto!

  2. So well written and yes so many of our friends have died and are fighting the disease too. You must read Dying to be Me by Anita Moorjani and how she fought cancer, it is simply marvellous and today she gives beautiful insights to people how to fight cancer. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

      • Thanks for your beautiful comments and there is no disease in this world when we r not at ease with ourselves then there is disease and these medicinal companies have made all diseases out of proportion for their greed and in return the humanity is suffering.

  3. I have been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
Itโ€™s pretty worth enough for me. In my view,
if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will
be a lot more useful than ever before.
